Eni Congo Charters Six New Crewboats for Offshore Operations

Eni Congo has signed a five-year contract with Bourbon for the charter of six new crewboats to support operations on its offshore fields in Congo. The new vessels are designed to meet Eni’s operational and environmental requirements, combining performance and energy efficiency.

Key Features of the New Crewboats:

  • Advanced Design: The S200X-G2 units feature optimized hydrodynamic design and propulsion systems, expected to achieve significant fuel savings of up to 20% compared to previous generations.
  • Energy Efficiency Monitoring: The vessels will be equipped with a real-time energy performance monitoring system (EFMS) to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Enhanced Comfort: The 20-meter vessels will offer comfortable accommodations for 30 passengers, including new seats with USB sockets, high-performance air conditioning, and large screens.
  • Spacious Foredeck: The vessels will have 25 m² of foredeck space for carrying small parcels.
  • Improved Navigation: The redesigned navigation bridge will provide improved visibility and enhanced ergonomics for pilots.

Operational Benefits:

  • Sustainable Operations: The new fleet will support more sustainable offshore mobility, aligning with Eni’s environmental requirements.
  • Reliable Support: The vessels will operate on Eni’s offshore fields, providing reliable support for their operations.
  • Temporary Mobilization: Pending delivery, six front runners will be temporarily mobilized to ensure operational continuity from the start of the contract.

Contract Details:

  • Five-Year Contract: The contract is for a period of five years, with progressive commissioning of the six new units between June and December 2026.
  • Operational Support: Bourbon Congo will provide reinforced operational support for the vessels.
